COLDSPRING, N.Y. (WKBW) — Snowy conditions have caused plenty of problems for drivers in Western New York, including one tractor trailer in Cattaraugus County.
Sheriff's Deputies say snowy roadways caused a driver who was carrying 37,000 pounds of frozen salmon, to lose control of his tractor trailer, just after 6 o'clock Tuesday morning.
Authorities say the tractor trailer was heading westbound on Interstate 86 in the town of Coldspring, resulting in the roadway being partially blocked.
As a result of the massive amount of frozen salmon, crews spent an extended amount of time removing the truck from the road.
The driver of the tractor trailer was sent to Olean General Hospital by Salamanca firefighters with minor injuries.
