Six more deaths reported at Allegany County nursing home

BELMONT, N.Y. (WKBW) — Six more deaths have been reported at an Allegany County nursing home that's already been identified as a COVID-19 cluster.

A total of 38 residents and eight staff members have tested positive for the virus at the Houghton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The Allegany County Department of Health had previously reportedthe deaths of two residents - a 71-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman.

The county is working with Houghton on contact tracing efforts.
