Six being assisted by Red Cross following Buffalo fire

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Fire officials say six people are being assisted by the Red Cross following a fire on the city's west side.

Fire officials say the fire began at 318 Connecticut Street around 12:30 Saturday morning, all the occupants were able to make it out safely.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, although it remains under investigation.

According to fire officials the total damage to the property is estimated at $150,000, two neighboring structures suffered exposure damage.
