BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Christmas surprise at Springville Elementry brought one eight-year old to tears.

Michael, who goes by his middle name Andrew, Krezmien-- returned from an almost six-month United States Army Reserve training in North and South Carolina to be with his family on Christmas.

"When I walked in the room and I saw her face and she broke down," Andrew said. "It was so emotional, it was very heartwarming."

On Thursday afternoon Andrew went to his sister Katie's classroom to give her a long awaited hug. The moment was caught on video as Katie runs into her brother's arms with eyes full of tears.

"I felt like I was hugging a big teddy bear," Katie said. "I felt happy."

Katie wrote her brother letter's while he was away and she is very happy that her family is whole for the Holidays.

"Family is everything," Andrew adds. "Once I left... it truly hit home... the most important thing you have is your family."
