SILVER CREEK, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Silver Creek Central School District is taking a major source of stress off the table for families this fall.
The district will be providing all basic school supplies for students in all grade levels this year. Parents and guardians will only be asked to provide gym shoes ad specialty supplies, such as art smocks.
While parents are also asked to provide their children with backpacks, the district says it has a number of backpacks that it can provide as needed. Parents should contact the main office of their child's school if that is the case.
"The district continues to recognize that the pandemic has been a trying and extremely difficult time on our families and entire community," the district announced on Facebook.
The district is holding three informational sessions for parents:
- Tuesday, August 18 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the district auditorium
- Tuesday, August 18 from 5:30 pm. to 6:30 p.m. in the district auditorium
- Wednesday, August 19 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Facebook Live
