KENMORE, N.Y. (WKBW) — LaTasha Bulluck is good friends with Salley Crews.
Salley is the owner of SalleyNycole’s Skin & Beauty Boutique in Kenmore and was finding herself overwhelmed with trying to run a business, grow her clientele, and get all the laundry done.
Laundry that equals about 80lbs per week.
“I would be up at night really really late,” said Crews. “I’d get home at 8/9 o’clock at night…and be up doing laundry until 2 or 3 o’clock in the morning.
That’s when LaTasha stepped in to help.
“I was doing that just to help her out and then I found out that I was getting laid off from my job.”
Bulluck turned a helping hand to a friend into a new business for many.
“I was tired of getting laid off a lot or being scared, so I decided to... open my own mobile laundry service.”
L.A.S.T. Call Laundry Services is a special name. It stands for LaTasha and then her three children Anthony, Summer, and Tiane.
She said working mothers are at the core of her business.
“I put it out there and then people just stared reaching out to me. I know people don’t like doing laundry, they don’t have time for it, they’d rather have time for their family or spend more time doing things for their business. I just thought it was a great thing to do — especially for us women who’re really really busy.”
Pricing starts at $1.50 per pound. For businesses like restaurants or spas you can call for a quoted “set” price.
All services are door-to-door and there is a two day turnaround time for your folded laundry.
