BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Elmwood village is the place to be during the holiday season. Especially if you've still got to do your holiday shopping.
"A lot of my friends and family love things from Buffalo, so up and down Elmwood, you can see cool stuff, that represents the city well," said Jack Doyle who went shopping at Everything Elmwood.
Shop owners like to provide a personal experience for shoppers that you can't get online or at the mall.
Businesses do different things to draw people in, like hosting fundraisers, events and special sales.
"We're actually doing a 12 days of Christmas special...we're doing different specials every day," said Liz, who works at Buffalo Fleece and Outerwear.
Everything Elmwood does complimentary gift wrapping. And most shops have extended hours during the season.
Shops will be open Friday December 13 and Saturday December 14 for Holidays in the Village where there will be caroling, a tree lighting and photos with Santa.
