TOWN OF ROYALTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — A driver involved in a fatal crash in the Town of Royalton on November 25 has been issued two uniform traffic tickets.

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says 65-year-old Daniel Verratti was issued a ticket for failure to stop at a stop sign and another ticket for failure to yield right of way at a stop sign.

The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. November 25 near Lewiston Road and Griswold Street in the Town of Royalton.

The sheriff's office says Verratti ran a stop sign as he was traveling southbound on Griswold Street and struck another vehicle traveling eastbound on Lewiston Road. The eastbound vehicle was carrying a family of two adults and five children from Machias, the driver of that vehicle has been identified as 31-year old Danielle Dujenski.

A two-and-a-half year old child died Wednesday night and Dujenski died Thursday as a result of the crash.

The five other occupants were injured and hospitalized, no update has been on their conditions. Veratti was treated and released.

The sheriff's office said the two tickets were issued after conferring with the Niagara County District Attorney's Office. Verratti will be arraigned on the two tickets at a later date.
