BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — State Senator Chris Jacobs wrote a letter to the city of Buffalo asking that it reverse its decision to increase hourly parking rates and the paid parking period.
"I write regarding the Common Council’s recent adoption of a new parking policy for Downtown Buffalo. I ask you and your fellow Council Members to please consider rescinding your approval of this policy and allow more time for public comment, input and dialogue."
Signage for the new laws have been going up since the morning.
The parking commissioner, Kevin Helfer, said the new laws won't be strictly enforced to give everyone time to adjust to the new rules.
