BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) announced on Twitter Wednesday evening that she is ending her campaign for President.
Sen. Gillibrand did not qualify for the next Democratic debate, Sept. 12 in Houston, TX. Candidates are required to have at least 2% support in four qualifying polls, and have at least 130,000 unique donors.
The first votes in the primary and caucus season are still about six months away. 20 Democrats remain in the field.
