BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A man who was working as a security guard for a private event remains in critical condition after a shooting inside the Kerns Bowling Center in Buffalo.
According to Buffalo Police, James Cox, 49, intervened in a fight during the private event when someone shot him multiple times, early Sunday morning. Investigators say there were multiple people there when the shooting happened but they are still trying to identify a suspect.
Police say the City of Buffalo is not looking to shut the Bowling Center down after the violent attack, like they did with the Bowl Inn earlier this year, as this is the first such incident inside the business.
The case remains under investigation.
