BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Say Yes Buffalo announced Thursday The Citi Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant from their 2019 Youth Workforce Fund to expand programming and connect low-income youth to employment opportunities.

Say Yes Buffalo says The Citi Foundation has now invested $600,000 in the internship and career pathways program.

The program matches Buffalo Public School graduates enrolled in college with paid summer internship opportunities and its mission is to create a career pipeline in the Western New York region.

Over the last three years the program has worked with over 1,000 students and provided nearly 150 paid summer internships.

In 2019, 68 employers offered internships and five interns received full-time employment offers.
