OLEAN, N.Y. (WKBW) — Saint Bonaventure University will become a smoke-free campus, effective July 1.
"In considering the recommendation of our Student Government Association and the significant majority of campus community members who supported the idea in a survey, I've decided that becoming smoke-free is the right thing to do," said Dr. Dennis DePerro, university president.
According to the new rules, smoking be prohibited in university-owned vehicles, all residence facilities, and in all of the school's outdoor areas.
The new rule applies to all smokable products: cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars and vaping.
