Roswell Park updates screening policy due to coronavirus

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Starting on Monday, the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is taking even stricter measures to protect its patients from the spread of coronavirus.

The cancer center is listing the following restrictions

  • Until further notice all patients and visitors must enter through the main entrance.
  • All patients must enter through the main entrance.
  • Everyone who enters the building will get a basic health screening upon entering the building.
  • Patients will only be allowed one visitor at a time.

These measures apply to all of Roswell Park's facilities across Western New York.

Patients and visitors are being asked to not bring anyone younger than 16 to appointments.

Children aged 16 and under will all be screened for signs of coronavirus.

The hospitality room and gift shop will also be closed.
