AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Rochester man is facing charges in connection with a deadly stabbing in Amherst in April.
Tyshon White, 29, has been charged with one count of first-degree manslaughter and one count of first-degree attempted assault.
According to the Erie County District Attorney's Office, just before 12 p.m. on April 22, police responded to the area of Draden Lane and Denrose Drive for a reported stabbing. Caden Nelipowitz, 21, was taken to DeGraff Hospital, where he later died.
The DA said White is accused of striking Nelipowitz with a vehicle and is also accused of stabbing Nelipowitz in the back and upper arm.
White was held without bail, and a return court date has been scheduled.
