ALBANY, N.Y. (WKBW) — A bill that would have automatically registered you to vote has been set aside for now because of a major typo.
According to the New York Post, the automatic voter registration bill would have forced undocumented immigrants to register despite being ineligible.
The bill has been recalled in both the state assembly and senate.
Leaders say they'll fix the bill and pass it next year.
