WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Students from Randolph Academy's Hamburg Campus took part in the Erie County SPCA's "Encouraging Kind Kids Program."
Randolph Academy, which serves children in grades K-12 with a variety of emotional and mental health disabilities, launched a service learning program and collected over 1,300 items over the last month.
Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Azalea Jones, who is a student at Randolph Academy, wrote a letter to her neighborhood asking for contributions and received nearly 200 donations.
A presentation was given to students by the SPCA in November which led to the donation drive.
