TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Town of Tonawanda Police Department will be conducting a dog census, starting on July 8th. Officers will be going through the Town of Tonawanda and Village of Kenmore.
Any dogs they identify will be checked for a valid license. Town and Village law requires all dogs who are 4 months old or older must have a valid dog license.
If someone is found with an unlicensed dog, they will be given 15 days to get one. A current rabies certificate is required to buy a dog license.
