BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Officials from both Erie and Niagara Counties will be holding separate news conferences on Sunday, now that COVID-19 has officially arrived in Western New York.

Here are three things we know so far about what to expect:

1. Niagara County does not have any confirmed cases of the Novel Coronavirus. Niagara Falls Superintendent Mark Laurrie says the 2pm news conference in Lockport will be about precautionary measures that will be taken now that there are three confirmed cases in Erie County.

2. As of Sunday morning, there are currently 12 people in quarantine in Niagara County. In Erie County, there were 61 people in quarantine as of Friday.

3. Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz will be joined by Health Commissioner Dr. Gale Burstein, Homeland Security & Emergency Services Commissioner Daniel Nevereath at an 11am news conference, which will be streamed live here.

7 Eyewitness News will be carrying both the 11am and 2pm news conferences live on WKBW.
