(WKBW) — A 54-year-old woman is under arrest, accused of driving drunk. Investigators say her BAC was more than four times the legal limit.

Deputies say after getting complaints of an erratic driver on Bullis Road in Elma they arrested Laura Zaranek. Authorities pulled Zaranek over on Clinton Street and noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, according to deputies.

Police administered field sobriety tests and a preliminary breathalyzer. Deputies say she refused to submit to a chemical test and was arrested.

Zaranek was taken to ECMC because of her intoxication. Police have charged her with misdemeanor DWI, as well as a violation for refusing to take a breath test. Zaranek is also charged with unsafe lane change after police investigated reports of her hitting a stop sign at the intersection of Bullis and 4 Rod Road.
