WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WKBW) — A West Seneca man has been charged after allegedly impersonating a police officer and stealing items from a vehicle.

According to West Seneca police, 24-year-old Michael Cantanzaro was observed taking items from a vehicle on Woodcrest Drive just after 9 p.m. Saturday. When confronted, police say he identified himself to the complainant as a police officer.

Police say Cantanzaro then dropped the items and fled in his vehicle towards Dorrance Drive. He was located in his driveway with stolen items.
