Police: two people seriously injured in Town of Tonawanda crash

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Town of Tonawanda police say two people are in the hospital with serious injuries after a crash Tuesday morning.

According to police, a tractor trailer and an SUV collided near Sheridan Drive and Belmont Avenue around 7:30 a.m.

The 65-year-old driver of the SUV and his 65-year-old female passenger were taken to Erie County Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police say the driver is in stable condition and the passenger is in critical condition.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

Police continue to investigate. At this time, no charges have been filed.
