William C. Carmona, 18, of Allegany, is facing felony charges after police said he broke into a home and started selling items from inside at a yard sale.

State Police said they were called to investigate a burglary in progress at a vacant residence on East Union Street in the village of Allegany on Friday. They later determined Carmona had unlawfully entered the property and was selling items from within at a yard sale.

Carmona was arrested and charged with 3rd degree burglary.

He was arraigned in Allegany Town Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail or $4,000 bond. He is due to appear in Allegany Village Court at a later date.
