Police searching for pair allegedly targeting elderly in roofing scams

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The West Seneca police are looking for the public's assistance locating two individuals who have allegedly targeted the elderly in roofing scams.

Police say Nicholas Certo and Anthony Delmaro have allegedly been running the scams all throughout Western New York.

Delmaro is also wanted by New York State Parole on a parole violation.

According to Lohud.com, Delmaro was convicted of similar scam in 2014.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of Certo and Delmaro.

If you are suspicious of a someone that comes to your home to solicit their business. The BBB says check in with them first.

"Give us a call. We're here. We're here in Buffalo. WE can let you know if they have any complaints. if they have any customer reviews, how long they've been in business. If there are an investigatory circumstances around the company," said Melanie McGovern with Better Business Bureau of Upstate New York.
