WYOMING COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York State Park Police and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation officers helped rescue a young bald eagle at Letchworth State Park over the weekend.

Someone in the park noticed the juvenile eagle with a wing injury near the edge of the gorge Saturday and reached out to police. Three officers responded, and were able to safely rescue the eagle. It was taken to Cornell to be rehabilitated.
