Police release new information about hit-and-run in Pembroke that left victim in critical condition

PEMBROKE, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Genesee County Sheriff's Office has released information about a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that left the victim in critical condition.

According to police, Travis Hartloff, 26 of Attica, was on a Yamaha motorcycle that hit the back of a vehicle just before 9 p.m. Friday on State Route 77 in Pembroke.

The collision threw Hartloff from his motorcycle, causing him to land in the middle of the road. He was then hit by another vehicle that left the scene before sheriff's deputies arrived.

Investigators believe the suspect was driving a light colored 2012 or 2013 Hyundai Tucson. The vehicle may have front end damage and will have significant damage to its undercarriage.

Hartloff was taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC, where he remains in critical condition.
