Police recover assault rifle, charge man with threatening family member

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 53-year-old man is in trouble with the law after police say he threatened a family member.

Police say they responded to a domestic incident Wednesday afternoon on Lincoln Street. Officers located and recovered an AR-15 assault rifle from Barth Riley.

He has been charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon as he has a prior felony conviction. Riley is also charged with Domestic Harassment.

The 53-year-old man is awaiting arraignment at the Jamestown city jail.
