Police: 18-year-old arrested for Niagara Falls deadly shooting

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Niagara Falls police say they have made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting.

According to police, 18-year-old Geoffrey Sandiford, of Niagara Falls, was arrested in connection to the shooting that killed 29-year-old Nathan Craft, also of Niagara Falls.

Police say the shooting happened around 5:35 p.m. on July 21 in the area of Ferry Avenue and 12th Street.

Investigators say Sandiford was located in Avoca, in Steuben County, and was arrested without incident by Niagara Falls officers and the US Marshal's Fugitive Task-Force.

Sandiford is charged with second degree murder and criminal possesstion of a weapon. He is expected to be arraigned Tuesday morning.

The investigation is ongoing.
