NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — One man has died and another man is seriously hurt from a crash in Niagara Falls, Monday night.

Niagara Falls police say 42-year-old Fontez Watts was driving a Kia eastbound on Niagara Falls Boulevard when he crossed the center lane and hit an oncoming car driven by a 35-year-old man from Niagara Falls driving a Ford, just after 9:30 Monday night.

Crews say they attempted to perform live-saving measures on Watts at the scene. Both men were sent to Erie County Medical Center by ambulance. Watts died from his injuries on Tuesday, according to police.

The driver of the Ford is being treated for several broken bones.

The result of the crash closed off part of Niagara Falls Boulevard for four hours.

A crash management team is investigating the crash.
