BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo police, Buffalo fire and Transit police are on scene of a crash involving a Transit police officer. Transit police say the officer was traveling southbound on Main Street with sirens and lights responding to an emergency call at Allen Station.

Skid marks are still visible on the sidewalk in front of where the crash took place illustrating how the officer veered off the road, then crashed into this building before it came to a stop.

According to an NFTA spokesperson the officer involved suffered non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.

Officials tell 7 Eyewitness News they are still trying to locate the car involved in the crash. It's described as a white Dodge Charger with a black spoiler on the rear.
