Police investigating armed robbery near Buffalo State College

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — According to Buffalo State College, Buffalo Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened near campus, Friday night.

A release sent out to students states, two students were walking on Rees Street near Bradley Street when a person in a black ski mask and a black coat approached them from behind. According to the release, the suspect showed a black hand gun and robbed the students of their phones and other personal property.

The suspect allegedly ran towards Grant Street and is still on the run.

Police are "actively investigating the incident." The university release states, there will be dedicated patrols throughout the area this weekend.
