Police called to "something in the water," turns out it was part of ice boom

CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Police say they responded to a call of "something in the water" at Niawanda Park in the City of Tonawanda.

Upon further inspection, police found and discovered that "something" in the water was a piece of the ice boom.

The Buffalo Office of Corp of Engineers were called and notified about the pontoon wedged in shallow water off of Gibson Street.
