BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with damaging property while riding ATVs.

Police say 29-year-old Mariangely Fernandez, 21-year-old Kevin Calderon Rivera, and Carlos Henandez Rivera damaged property at The Valley Center and The Red Jacket Park Habitat area.

All three individuals have been arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief and Trespassing.

Councilman Richard Fontana proposed an ordinance cracking down on people driving ATVs in Buffalo. The new legislation would increase fines violators face from the current range of $150-$300 to $1500-$2000. Additionally, confiscated ATVs will be sold at an auction outside the region, making it more difficult for the driver to repurchase it.
