BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — The plan to connect every community in Erie County with reliable internet is taking a major step forward.
The development group behind erie.net held its first meeting on Monday.
This will allow the broadband project to begin laying hundreds of miles of internet infrastructure throughout the county.
Erie County is using $36 million from the American Rescue Plan to pay for the project.
