Man dies following hit and run on Buffalo's west side

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo police say a man in his 50s has died following a hit and run on Buffalo's west side, Sunday night.

Authorities say the victim was hit by a vehicle just before 11:30 p.m. in the area of Plymouth Avenue and Hampshire Street.

Investigators say the victim was lying in the street when he was struck. Police then say the vehicle took off and left the scene.

Buffalo police have not released the identity of the victim.

Family tells 7 Eyewitness News that the victim is Richie Davies.
