Pediatric patients at Oishei Children's Hospital rang in the New Year a little early on Tuesday. The hospital held its first "Noon Year's Eve" celebration.

The event featured a DJ, juggler, and other entertainers from First Night Buffalo.

A handful of patients came down to the hospital lobby for the party. But, entertainers also visited patients on each of the floors.

"It's awesome," said Joelle Garcy whose two-year-old son, Deacon was admitted for an eye infection. "He went through a lot of things he wasn't used to. He was held down and had to go through tests. So, this brought a smile to his face for the first time today."

It also featured visits from Peppa the Pig, Captain America and other storybook characters, and a grand finale with a special performance by Elsa from Frozen, and a countdown to "Happy New Year!"

The event was sponsored by the Independent Health Foundation.
