AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Parts of UB North campus were evacuated due to a gas leak Tuesday morning. Fire crews have since given the all-clear for occupants to re-enter all buildings.

The initial alert for evacuation was tweeted by UB Alert:

It's not clear what caused the gas leak and how many students and faculty have been evacuated. The gas leak was shut off around 10:30 a.m., but occupants were asked to stay out of the affected buildings while they were ventilated.

Officials say there was no immediate threat on campus because of the gas leak. No injuries were reported.
