WEST FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — A New York State Senior Parole Officer has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse, attempted sex abuse and forcible touching.
Andrew Amato, of West Falls, is accused of forcibly touching a female in a sexual manner on November 14, 2014. The Erie County District Attorney's Office reports this happened in a Cheektowaga hotel room.
The age of the victim has not been released.
It's unclear why this case is just being prosecuted.
If he's convicted, Amato faces seven years in prison.
His status with the state is unknown.
According to SeeThroughNY.com, Amato earned more than $100,000 last year as a Senior Parole Officer.
The DA's office says a date has not been scheduled for him to return to court.
