BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — In the spirit of the holiday season, some municipalities are temporarily lifting winter parking restrictions.

In Buffalo, winter parking regulations on bus routes will be suspended starting at 1:30am Christmas morning, and resume on December 27th at 1:30am.

Alternate parking on streets with 9am-4pm parking designations throughout Buffalo will be suspended on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The city also previously announced that metered parking in retail districts will be free through January 1st, 2020.

In Kenmore, the winter parking ban has been lifted throughout the holidays. Beginning January 1st, the ban that prohibits on-street parking between 2am-6am goes back into effect.

In the Town of Tonawanda, the on-street parking ban has been temporarily lifted until 2:01 A.M. January 2, 2020.

All municipalities cite the mild weather for their decision to lift the parking ban.
