Parked emergency vehicle with flashing lights on struck by Hanover man

HANOVER, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office says a Hanover man struck a parked emergency vehicle that had its lights on assisting a fire department at an emergency scene.

72-year-old Joseph Pomichter allegedly disregarded traffic control personnel on Routes 5 and 20 in the Town of Hanover Sunday afternoon, striking an emergency vehicle that had its lights on.

Pomichter was issued traffic tickets and will appear in the Town of Haonver Court at a later date.

No injuries were reported.
