WARSAW, N.Y. (WKBW) — Parents in Warsaw say they have no daycare options for their children after the only daycare in the area announced it will be shutting its doors.

Mudpies & Milestones, which is run by Community Action of Wyoming County says it can no longer stay in business because there's not enough money.

"It could be catastrophic for us," said Courtney Kohlhagen who sends her 17-month-old daughter to Mudpies.

Kohlhagen says the employees have an impeccable reputation and care for her daughter like no other. She and her family don't know what to do if the daycare shuts its doors.

"We as parents have volunteered to raise our own tuition," she said. "We bring our own diapers, wipes, everything. As it is, we've volunteered to do more."

Kohlhagen says the big problem is there are no other alternative childcare options anywhere near Warsaw.

Community Action says it is planning another meeting to speak with the parents once again to see if some type of agreement can be met moving forward.
