ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — Orchard Park police, along with the Orchard Park Central School District, are warning parents of a suspicious incident that occurred in the village Wednesday evening.

According to police, a middle-aged man, driving a light colored Sprinter style van, approached a group of young children in the Sunset Terrace area sometime in the evening.

"The police department and school district encourage all parents and children to be aware of their surroundings and to never approach or get into a vehicle with a stranger for any reason. All suspicious incidents should be reported to an adult as soon as they occur, so law enforcement has the greatest opportunity to fully investigate and locate any suspects involved."

Police are continuing to investigate and ask anyone who may have seen the vehicle or has information to call the Orchard Park Police Department at 662-6444.
