ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — A 68-year-old hairdresser stands accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old customer at a salon in Orchard Park.
Stephen Savaglio of Lackawanna is charged with criminal sexual act in the second-degree, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to police, Savaglio assaulted a teenage male at Michael's Studio on North Buffalo Road on the evening of May 3rd.
Police say the teenager told his mom Savaglio performed an oral sexual act on him.
"Based on the layout on the salon, there is a certain degree of privacy that each of the salon chairs has which allowed something like this to take place without the family member being aware at the time," said Lt. Patrick Fitzgerald of Orchard Park Police.
I talked to the owner of Michaels Studio. He tells me the suspect is no longer associated with the salon. He says he is doing what’s best for the community, there is a school and day care nearby. @WKBW
