NEWFANE, N.Y. (WKBW) — A high speed chase caused one vehicle to crash just yards away from a home in Newfane early Tuesday morning.
Police say they saw a 2003 Volkswagen Beetle traveling at a high rate of speed on Lockport Olcott Road.
Officers say they attempted to pull over 41-year-old Patrick Singleton. The vehicle continued to pull away from cops.
Police say Singleton lost control of the vehicle and crashed onto a front lawn of a home on Route 78.
Crews shut down a portion of Route 78 as a result of the crash early Tuesday.
Singleton was flown by mercy flight to ECMC.
