BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A fire at an apartment in Buffalo has sent one person to the hospital.
Authorities say they were called to the Mayflower Apartments at 66 Summer Street around midnight, Wednesday due to reports of a fire.
Our photographer at the scene spoke with the fire chief, who says this started as a rubbish fire in a fifth floor unit, and was knocked down just before 1 o'clock, Wednesday morning.
Crews say one person was taken to ECMC due to smoke inhalation.
Police say the cause of the fire which caused $35,000 in damage is under investigation.
