Greene was pushing a shopping cart full of cans and bottles near the Walden exit. Police say the driver was unable to stop in time. The accident happened about 3:00 a.m. Friday.
Police say the driver, from Orchard Park, was not hurt and showed no signs of impairment.
It does not appear any charges have been filed, which is why we are not naming the driver.

As a result of the investigation, the roadway was reduced to one lane of traffic.
