BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Here's an interesting sign of the times from the music industry.
New sales figures show CD's are out of style, with vinyl taking over.
Sales of the retro records outpaced CD's in the first half of this year by almost double.
That hasn't happened since the 1980's.
But streaming music is still the new norm.
People dropped nearly 5-billion dollars on that format in the first six months of 2020.
That compares to $230-million in vinyl record sales.
