SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) — File this one under the, "you can't make this stuff up category"!
Monday night, an injured deer crashed through the glass door of the S&S Taxidermy Archery Pro Shop on South Cascade Drive in Springville, causing extensive damage. The Erie County Sheriff's Office is reporting that the animal was previously hit by a vehicle on South Cascade Drive before it ran into the taxidermy shop.
Luckily, no one was injured but the deer had to be put down by deputies after they were able to flush it out of the store.
S&S Taxidermy Archery Pro Shop is back open Tuesday.
