NEW YORK (WKBW) — The search for a suspect wanted by New York State Police is over, police say 31-year-old Edward Bancroft of Angelica has been located and taken into custody.
Police say during the investigation of a stolen ATV and truck in the Town of Almond recently, the truck was pursued to the Town of Ossian where Bancroft fled on foot.
Several law enforcement officers were in on the searched for Bancroft, NYSP reported Bancroft was also wanted in connection to multiple vehicle larcenies occurring across Wyoming, Livingston, Steuben and Allegany counties. He is also a suspect in an arson in Allegany County.
