7 News spoke with a neighbor who said, "Opened up the garage door and heard a gunshot, which it's hunting season, but not in that direction. That's the neighborhood area, and the woods are behind me. So, the gunshot came from an unusual area. Maybe it was 5,10 minutes later that the police started pulling down their sheriffs, and didn't hear much for a while, and then they barricaded the end of the road."

State Police evacuated the area and established a perimeter for several hours before releasing gas into the home.

Blaze was later charged with one count of second-degree attempted murder, one count of first-degree assault, one count of second-degree assault, one count of second-degree criminal mischief and one count of third-degree criminal mischief.

He faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison when he returns for a felony hearing in January. Blaze continues to be held without bail.
